How it works
Like a match, but for a card.
Three people, one card, and nobody’s surprised by what gets printed.
01
Opt in
Athletes and photographers join and set their terms. Photographers license images for card use. Athletes allow their name, image and likeness to be used, subject to their approval of each card.
02
Match
An artist picks an athlete and a licensed photo and starts a design. The athlete gets a ping: “Someone’s designing a card of you.”
03
Approve
The athlete reviews the mockup and approves it, requests changes or declines. The photographer signs off too, and for racing cards showing silks or a horse’s name, so does the owner.
04
Print
Only fully approved cards are cleared for print. Every party knows exactly what is being made with their name or work.
The approval trail
Every card moves through the same stages. Revisions can loop as many times as needed.
- 1Draft
- 2Submitted
- 3Changes requested
- 4Approved by athlete
- 5Approved by photographer
- 6Approved by owner (racing, if needed)
- 7Cleared to print

A note on racing cards
In Australian racing, a horse’s name and silks are registered and licensed to its owner. Any card that shows silks or names a horse adds an owner approval step before print.
